Adjustments to requirements, wages and the coronavirus, in general, will be featured talking points during the USD 253 Board of Education's meeting Wednesday evening.

Board members will consider waiving the district's original graduation requirements for the senior class of 2020, while also considering the adoption of minimum requirements per the Kansas Department of Education. Board members will also discuss a new resolution regarding wage payments for hourly district staff members after Governor Laura Kelly's executive order last week which closed all school districts through the remainder of the academic year.

Speaking of the Governor's order, Superintendent Kevin Case will lead an update on the matter and the district's response. A build for the future update and several purchases are also on the agenda.
