CORONAVIRUS: Chase, Morris counties add cases; Life Care Center of Burlington outbreak officially over Centers for Disease Control and Prevention graphic

Chase and Morris counties both have new positive coronavirus tests.


Both added one case Friday, pushing the totals for both counties to four. The cases announced Friday are the only active cases in the two counties.

Separately, the Coffey County Health Department has announced the Life Care Center of Burlington outbreak has ended. The center, which was at the heart of Coffey County's COVID-19 numbers, has had 28 days without a positive case. The Health Department has not singled out the Life Care situation since April 17, when it announced the center had 44 cases and three deaths. To this point, Coffey County is at 50 cases, none of which are active, and eight deaths.

Elsewhere in the listening area, Osage County as one active case and Wabaunsee County has three.
