Traffic flow at 12th and Industrial was altered for about 45 minutes after two pickup trucks and a car collided Saturday morning.

The crash happened shortly before 10:30 am after a northbound pickup on Industrial ran a red light, according to Emporia Police Sgt. Tim Wacker. The early investigation indicates that truck hit a westbound pickup on 12th, which then bumped a southbound car that was stopped at the intersection and waiting to turn right. Word on potential citations is pending.

Initially, Emporia Fire was called out for reported minor injuries but nobody needed a hospital trip afterward.

Northbound traffic on Industrial was unaffected by the crash, but traffic in all other directions was either constricted or blocked during the cleanup and investigation effort.
