Kansas Chief Justice Marla Luckert has signed a new administrative order that continues the suspension of normal speedy trial provisions.

The order also continues the suspension of statutes of limitations or deadlines for conducting or processing judicial proceedings. This means actions cannot be dismissed for lack of prosecution or failure to meet deadlines except through exemptions by judges, appellate judicial officers or hearing officers.

This order continues until further notice.
