Several processes continue for election officials across the state, including those at the Lyon County Courthouse.

County Clerk Tammy Vopat's staff have been busy this week, transitioning from voter registration to mailing out ballots for those requesting them. Setup is underway at the Election Office for in-office advance voting, which begins Monday, and that setup willl take place this weekend for the Fairgrounds Anderson Building.

And Vopat has to remind residents about electioneering on top of that.

Vopat says electioneering is currently low-level.

At the Lyon County Courthouse, Vopat says the 250-foot bubble extends from the Election Office front door.

Vopat says electioneering can consist of displaying signs or wearing merchandise, like shirts, hats or buttons. It can also include mentioning anything election-related while in line to vote.

Vopat encourages people to be courteous and respectful as they vote. She also thanked her office staff for their work in getting ready for the upcoming general election Nov. 3.
