One Olpe man is dead and another suffered potentially serious injuries after a crash in Anderson County on Saturday.

The Kansas Highway Patrol says a pickup driven by 55-year-old Todd Parker Vogts was eastbound about three miles north of Westphalia when the crash happened at 9:30 am. Troopers say Vogts failed to yield at an intersection and collided with a pickup driven by 55-year-old Ronald Jost II of Olathe.

Vogts was hurt and was taken to Anderson County Regional Hospital, but 58-year-old Roy Vogts was pronounced dead at the scene. Jost and a passenger, 52-year-old Terri Jost of Olathe, suffered suspected minor injuries and were transported to Anderson County Regional afterward.

The Josts were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash. The Vogts were not.
