Emporia City Commissioners will continue conversations on the city's recycling contract during their upcoming study session Wednesday morning.

Commissioners will review a contract renewal with Hamm that would increase the cost of single-stream recycling from $2.82 per customer to $3.80 per customer per month, roughly a 98 cent increase. Commissioners will also discuss a recommendation for appropriations to the Convention and Visitors Advisory Board (CVAB).

Discussions on park projects will also take place. Following the study session, commissioners will reconvene their adjourned action session from last Wednesday. The only item on the action agenda will be a review and possible approval of the city/county joint legislative statement for 2021.

The meeting is scheduled to begin at 10 am inside the Municipal Courtroom at White Auditorium.
