Showers and storms brought moderate to heavy rain to much of the KVOE listening area early Wednesday.

Rain totals include:

*Lyndon: 1.39 inches
*Neosho Rapids: 1.1 inches
*Osage City: 1.11 inches
*Saffordville: 1.2 inches

4:30 am Wednesday: Urban, small stream flood advisory posted for southeast Lyon County, all of Coffey County

Strong thunderstorms are moving across parts of the KVOE listening area early Wednesday.

Chase County was briefly under a severe thunderstorm warning for the risk of 60 mph winds. There are currently no reports of severe weather with this complex or anywhere in the area after a line of storms developed in central Kansas late Tuesday night and pushed to the east.

A severe thunderstorm watch affecting Lyon County and almost all surrounding counties expired at 2 am. An urban and small stream flood advisory is underway for southeastern Lyon County and all of Coffey County until 6:45 am after up to 1.5 inches of rainfall may have fallen across the alerted area, based on radar estimates.
