An Osage County man and three other people suffered potentially serious injuries in a crash in Jackson County on Tuesday.

The Kansas Highway Patrol says 83-year-old Wayne Dunn of Lyndon was northbound on US Highway 75 just south of Mayetta when the crash happened around 7:45 am. Dunn's car hit a pickup driven by 29-year-old Rachel McCoy of Holton. The circumstances behind the wreck have not been released.

Dunn was taken to Stormont-Vail Hospital in Topeka for treatment. Also taken to Stormont-Vail were McCoy and two children in her truck. Dunn was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash. Nobody in McCoy's vehicle was properly restrained, according to the Highway Patrol.
