Teachers will be presenting from 2:30-3:45 pm in Visser Hall room 330 and will meet in Webb Hall at 6:30 pm for a dinner and an awards reception to follow. 

EHS audio visual communications teacher, Laura Schwinn, is one of the nominees for the award while John Butcher, art teacher at Blue Valley Northwest, is another nominee with Emporia ties. Butcher is an ESU alumnus and grandson of past Kansas State Normal School president, Thomas Butcher. 

ESU recognizes teachers with this award every year since 1954.  The award is presented to teachers who go above and beyond their roles as teachers.
