The Winter Graduation Ceremony for the Flint Hills Technical College got underway Friday night.
The Emporia Humanitarian Center Auditorium was filled with family and friends of the graduates to witness them receive their degrees. FHTC President Dr. Dean Hollenbeck says these graduates now have an extra advantage in today’s workforce.
Dr. Hollenbeck also commemorates the placement of FHTC reaching 95 percent. He gives the credit for this achievement to the college’s ever-growing and adapting programs to stay updated to an always-changing workplace environment.
FHTC 1996 Alumnus Joey LeMay was invited to be the guest speaker and give the congratulations and remarks in the ceremony. LeMay says his degree from FHTC is what got him to his career as the Senior Engineering Manager at Simmons Foods, Inc.
Congratulations to all FHTC graduates. For more information on the Flint Hills Technical College and it’s many programs, visit FHTC.edu.
