A significant and lengthy bridge construction project is set to begin in the KVOE listening area this week.
The Kansas Department of Transportation has announced bridge construction will be taking place beginning at 10 am Tuesday morning along US Highway 56 between Council Grove and the Lyon-Morris County line. Traffic will be reduced down to one lane with a 35 mph speed limit in effect.
Additionally, width restrictions of 12’0″ will be in place throughout the entirety of the project. Automated traffic signals are currently in place and travelers should anticipate delays of at least 10 minutes.
The project is scheduled to be completed by mid-November. For more information vist KSdot.org.
