Prison time lies ahead for a man who accepted a plea agreement in what was originally a robbery case in Emporia this past spring.
On Wednesday, Malik Dorsey learned he would spend 36 months in prison after pleading no contest to attempted aggravated burglary. He also has 24 months of postrelease supervision when his sentence is finished.
Dorsey, 19, originally faced aggravated robbery and attempted aggravated robbery counts after an incident in April where authorities he robbed three people of items including shoes, a purse and a belt. The remaining counts were dismissed as part of the plea reached last month.
