To say the least, the fifth annual Match Day was another resounding success for the Emporia Community Foundation.

Emporia city commissioners have several topics worth noting when they have their study session Wednesday.

For the first time in a couple days, driving conditions are pretty close to normal -- at least on major thoroughfares.

More details are coming out about two blizzard-related injury crashes in Greenwood County on Sunday that happened on US Highway 400 less than five minutes apart and ultimately sent 12 people to different hospitals.

There was no snowfall Monday, but there was a snow-related injury crash in Osage County.

Excitement is mounting as the Emporia Community Foundation prepares to announce totals from the fifth annual Match Day earlier this month which will benefit 20 area organizations.  

Sunday's blizzard that hammered the Flint Hills with winds as high as some severe thunderstorms and light to moderate snowfall has long since cleared the area, but it has taken some time to get traffic back to normal.
