Heathmans found safe in Missouri; Silver Alert ends

The search is over for an elderly northern Lyon County couple.
Lyon County Detective Sgt. Jacob Welsh tells KVOE News Meredith Heathman, 70, and Rosetta Heathman, 63, had been in contact with their daughter Tuesday morning. That was the last contact they had with anybody -- until Thursday afternoon.

A Silver Alert was issued shortly before noon statewide for the Heathmans. That was canceled about 2:30 pm.
Welsh credited everybody for the information provided by concerned citizens. He says the Heathmans' landline phone was not working and they do not have cell phones.  He urged people to have ways they can be reached in case of questions or emergencies.
