A man accused of murder plead guilty at his pretrial in Lyon County District Court Friday.
Jimmy Dominguez plead guilty to an amended count of murder in the second degree. Dominguez was facing his third time going on trial before he took the plea.
Dominguez killed Jose Leyva in 2009. His first trial in 2010 ended in mistrial. A year later, his second trial ended with convictions on murder and other counts, but the Kansas Supreme Court claimed that there were faulty jury instructions thus overturned the conviction and sentence in 2014.
Dominguez will be sentenced on July 20 at 10:30 a.m. in Lyon County District Court.
