Flatland Cruisers Car Show to go on, regardless of weather

Rain or shine, the Flatland Cruisers Car Show will go on Saturday.

Vice President of the Flatland Cruisers Car Club Robert Sieberns says that the 24th Annual Car show registration begins at 8 a.m. Saturday morning in downtown Emporia. All money raised for the car show go towards scholarships for Flint Hills Technical College Students.

This year, they were able to give out three rather than the usual two scholarships.

There are door prizes given away during the day and a silent auction will take place to raise additional funds. Seiberns explains the silent auction items.

Currently, there is no plan to delay the car show due to the weather. According to Sieberns, a rain day was not set in place due to too many other large car shows scheduled in nearby areas.
