Three people were transported following a reported injury crash Sunday evening on Interstate 35 in Coffey County.
Authorities responded just after 5 p.m. north of the Lebo exit (MM 148). According to the Kansas Highway Patrol crash log, a minivan attempting to merge into the southbound lanes of I-35 failed to yield and struck a pickup. Three of the eight passengers in the minivan were transported to Newman Regional Health, including 68-year-old Anthonina Edgar and 34-year-old Surely Edgar, both of Kansas City, Missouri as well as 8-year-old Christh Henry of Afton, Oklahoma. The extent of their injuries is unknown.
The driver of the minivan was identified as 35-year-old Marta Peggy Edgar of Oklahoma. The driver of the pickup was identified as 50-year-old Anthony Grant of Olathe. Neither driver was transported.
