Oklahoma teens injured in turnpike crash

A pair of Oklahoma teens were injured in a crash on the Kansas Turnpike Thursday evening.
According to a report by the Kansas Highway Patrol, the crash happened just before 6 p.m. when the driver of an SUV ran off the road, entered a ditch and struck the culvert before overturning near mile marker 112, about 15 miles south of Emporia.
The driver of the vehicle, 19-year-old Isaiah Michael Duran of Oklahoma City was transported to Newman Regional Health with undisclosed injuries. A 16-year-old passenger, Moses Duran also was injured but was not transported.
The injuries are not said to be life-threatening. Both occupants were wearing their seat belts at the time of the crash.
