Progress is happening with the latest bond projects in the USD 252 South Lyon County school district.
At Monday's meeting, school board members received an update from Superintendent Mike Argabright on the upcoming facility upgrades happening at schools in Neosho Rapids and Hartford. Argabright presented 3-D images of those projects from Alloy Architects along with facility tours of each site.
Internal renovations are being done at Hartford as well as construction of a new kitchen and weight room. At Neosho Rapids a new multipurpose room with a tornado shelter is being constructed along with other renovations.
Argabright says it's an exciting time for the district following the passage of the bond this past spring.
The projects in Neosho Rapids and Hartford will begin in December. The Olpe project is slated to begin around Spring Break.
