Friday the 13th will be a scandolous evening in Emporia.
The Lyon County Historical Society has announced a new exhibit will feature murder, sex, money and a look into the darker side of Emporia history. The special event will include stories and information detailing crimes such as the Sandy Bird case, the Finney bond scandal and the infamous Walkup murder. The exhibit will feature a conversation over each of the afformentioned scandals and refreshments will be served.
History Center executive director Greg Jordan stresses while the event will be very intriguing, it is intended for adults.
The exhibit will begin Friday October 13th at 6:30 p.m. with a special talk beginning at 7 p.m. For more information on upcoming events and exhibits from the Lyon County Historical Society visit their Facebook page.
