Casino night will benefit Altrusa Club efforts to build a better community

The American Legion will be transformed into a casino this weekend.
The Altrusa Club will host their annual casino night Saturday evening.  The event will raise funds to help the club's mission of promoting literacy.  The Altrusa club raises money each year to benefit several local organizations including providing scholarships for ESU and Flint Hills Technical College students.
Altrusa Club member Jean Tidwell recently spoke with KVOE and gave an update on some of the recent work performed by the club.
Those in attendance will have a variety of casino games to choose from including blackjack, craps and poker.  Play currency will be used for gambling and attendees will be able to put it towards prizes at the end of the evening.
Casino night will begin at the American Legion at 6 p.m.
