The Olpe Chicken house gave the community more than just a delicious meal Thursday.
The popular restaurant played host to the second of four Dine United events for the month of October. A large flow of faces both new and familiar flooded the chicken house between the hours of 11 am and 8 pm to fill their stomachs and help provide funds to a great cause. The staff all agreed these opportunities make for a more exciting day of work. Although it is another day of business as usual the event brings in a larger clientele which helps grow a sense of community.
Chicken House owner and manager Charlotte Coble (Co-Bull) says the staff is always excited to serve the community and that excitement helps bring in a steady flow of customers.
15 percent of sales will go toward the United Way campaign, last week's event saw $500 raised at Pizza Ranch. Totals from Thursday's event will be announced at a later date.
Dine United events will continue through the end of October with the following events scheduled:
Thursday, October 19
Granada Coffey Company
Thursday, October 26
