Economic trends discussed at Emporia Area Economic Outlook Conference

Economic trends were being discussed during the Emporia Area Economic Outlook Conference Thursday at Emporia State University.
 
The Center for Economic Development and Business Research at Wichita State and Emporia Area Chamber of Commerce hosted the event which featured speakers taking a look at state, local and real estate trends. CEDBC Director Jeremy Hill says he believes Kansas will continue to see slow economic growth moving forward.
 
 
 
Area business leaders attended the three hour conference at ESU's Memorial Union. Also unveiled was the new Emporia State Economic Index (ESEI), created to provide a timelier picture of local economic trends based on gross domestic product.
