A sweet delivery was presented Tuesday across the Emporia School District to celebrate American Education Week.
Emporia State Federal Credit Union partnered once again with the district to present employees of every district building with cookies as a thank you for their hard work. Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources Kelly Bolin says it was nice to hear all the great stories of what's happening in the classroom and sharing those with the public.
Angie Miller, president of Emporia State Federal Credit Union says it takes a village to keep the success going strong.
Emporia NEA representative Jessica Snyder, a teacher herself says she enjoys highlighting her fellow educators.
A total of 1,200 cookies were delivered from Reeble's Country Mart. The yearly tradition included stops at each building with KVOE doing short broadcasts from every tour stop.
