Any donations to the Salvation Army's red kettle on Friday will double in value.
That's because Friday is another Doubler Day in Emporia. Scott Strahm of BLI Rentals is helping match donations up to $1,000. He says because the community has been so good to his business, they are happy to be able to give back to a worthy cause.
The Doubler Day also coincides with a Battle of the Badges opportunity to increase giving Friday. Strahm encourages others to also volunteer their time with the Salvation Army to ring bells. After Friday, the next Doubler Day will be Dec. 16 with Brock and Mary Kretsinger matching up to $1,000 and the Lions Club matching up to $500.
