Osage County man arrested, accused of stabbing woman in head

An Osage County man was arrested just outside Topeka Wednesday morning after an alleged stabbing from earlier in the day.
According to the Osage County Sheriff's Office, 49-year-old Michael Potts is being held on charges of domestic violence, aggravated battery, criminal restraint and criminal threat. Authorities were alerted to a domestic incident just after 8:30 a.m. at 659 W. 229th in Osage County, just north of Lyndon. The victim reported she had been stabbed in the head. The victim refused medical treatment on scene.

Potts, the alleged suspect, fled the scene before law enforcement arrived and was detained by Kansas Highway Patrol on I-70 west of Topeka.

The incident remains under further investigation by the Osage County Sheriff's Office.
