Pretrial hearings are scheduled this week for a pair of Lyon County juveniles accused in an alleged kidnapping and assault from November.
Armando Nunez, 17, faces a charge of aggravated battery in addition to charges of conspiracy to commit aggravated battery and conspiracy to commit aggravated robbery. Daniel Garcia, 17, also faces a charge of aggravated kidnapping. Lyon County District Attorney Marc Goodman says dates at those hearings dates will be set for motions to try both young men as adults. Nunez, Garcia, 18-year-old Andrew Granado and 18-year-old Samuel Garcia are accused in an alleged attack on a 17-year-old male in the 1400 block of Road P on Nov. 18. The alleged victim reported several people surrounding his vehicle, taking away his cell phone and then battering him twice.

The Nunez hearing is scheduled for 9 a.m. Tuesday and Garcia's hearing is scheduled for 2 p.m.
In addition, a preliminary hearing for Samuel Garcia is set for 1:15 p.m. Thursday while Granado is due back in court Feb. 8. Both men face single counts of aggravated kidnapping, conspiracy to commit aggravated kidnapping, aggravated battery, conspiracy to commit aggravated battery, aggravated robbery and criminal threat.
All cases remain under investigation.
