Update: Emporia woman identified in Wednesday afternoon crash northeast of Emporia

An Emporia woman was hospitalized Wednesday after a crash northeast of Emporia.
The Kansas Highway Patrol says shortly before 3 p.m. 29-year-old Laura Driessen was driving her minivan southbound on Burlingame Road when for an unknown reason the vehicle left the roadway and went into the west ditch. The vehicle corrected back onto the roadway before over-correcting back into the west ditch and came to rest in a field. The incident happened roughly three miles northeast of Emporia near Road 210.
Driessen was transported to Newman Regional Health with unspecified injuries. The hospital does not release patient conditions to the media.

One person has been taken to Newman Regional Health for observation and possible treatment after a crash northeast of Emporia on Wednesday.
A minivan crashed and went off Burlingame Road in the 2100 block, roughly three miles northeast of town, around 3 pm. Crash details are pending at this time.
Traffic has been pinched around the wreck site. Lyon County deputies and Kansas Highway Patrol troopers have been investigating the crash and handling traffic control.
