ESU Men's basketball team falls to Alaska-Fairbanks, 67-58, in Alaska Invitational

The Emporia State Men's basketball team dropped their second game of the Alaska Invitational, 67-58, to the host-school Alaska-Fairbanks Friday night.  The Hornets trailed by only three at halftime, but couldn't hit shots in the second half. 

Trailing by 4 with less than 12 minutes to play, ESU was outscored 14-8 over the next 8 minutes.  The Hornets managed just 35.8 percent shooting on 19-53.  The Nanooks went 25-51 to shoot 49 percent.

Paul Bunch led ESU with 13 points and 5 rebounds.  Micah Swank scored in double figures with 11.  Jevon Taylor added 10.  ESU falls to 4-2 on the season and will wrap up play in the Alaska Invitational Saturday night against Mary University.  Pre-game coverage starts at 7:40, with tip-off at 8pm on MIX 104.9 and KVOE.com.
