Kansas, Wichita State and Kansas State have all been invited to the Big Dance.
Kansas is the number 1 seed in the Midwest Regional and number 3 seed overall. The Jayhawks will play Penn Thursday in Wichita with tip-off set for 1pm. Devonte Graham says they cannot look to far ahead.
North Carolina State plays Seton Hall in the other Midwest first round game in Wichita. Coach Bill Self says this is not an easy bracket.
Wichita State is the 4th seed in the East regional.They will play Marshall in San Diego on Friday. The game will tip-off at 12:30p. The other half of their bracket has West Virginia playing Murray State.
Kansas State is the 9th seed in the South regional. They will play Creighton in Charlotte on Friday with tip-off set for 5:50p. Barry Brown is happy to be back in the NCAA Tournament.
Texas Tech, West Virginia, TCU, Texas and Oklahoma are the other Big-12 teams to receive an invitation to the tournament.
Virginia is the overall number 1 seed and number 1 seed in the South. The will play Maryland Baltimore County. If Kansas State and Virginia win their first round games the two teams would meet in the 2nd round.
Villanova is the number 1 seed in the East regional and number 2 seed overall. Xavier is the number 1 seed in the West regional and 4th seed overall.
There are 4 play in games. Tuesday Long Island Brooklyn plays Radford. The winner will play Villanova. UCLA faces St. Bonaventure. The winner will play Flordia. Wednesday North Carolina Central plays Texas Southern with the winner playing Xavier. Arizona State plays Syracuse with the winner playing TCU.
The other games in Wichita Thursday night has Houston playing San Diego State at 6:20p. Michigan plays Montana in the late game.
