Kansas holds off Iowa State

Naadir Tharpe scored a career-high 23 points to lead No. 15 Kansas past No. 8 Iowa State 77-70 on Monday night.

 

The game was tied at halftime but Kansas opened up the second half with a 16-5 runs and never looked back. Freshman Andrew Wiggins scored 17 points and grabbed 19 rebounds for the Jayhawks who have won three straight.

DeAndre Kane scored a team-high 21 points for the Cyclones in the loss.
