Emporia State tennis teams defeat Arkansas Fort Smith

The Emporia State mens and womens tennis teams picked up wins over Arkansas Fort Smith Saturday. The Emporia State men defeated Fort Smith 8 matches to 1. The Emporia State women won their match 6 matches to 3.
 
 
For the men in doubles play the number 1 team of Patrick Cameron and Matheus Mota won 8-5. The number 2 doubles team of Gerard Pont and Oliver Dixon won 8-5 and the number 3 doubles team of Farhan Sadique and Anton Levanovich won 9-7.
In singles play:
#1 Gerard Pont won 6-2, 6-3
#2 Oliver Dixon won 6-4, 6-2
#3 Patrick Cameron won 7-6(8-6), 4-6, 10-2
#5 Farhan Sadique won 6-1, 6-1
#6 Anton Leavanovich won 6-4, 6-2
 
The Emporia State men have now won 8 in a row.
 
In womens play the number 1 doubles tea of Tawni Griffey and Camila Ramos won 8-3. The number 2 doubles team of Sarah Durham and Tahlia Walsh won 8-6. The Number 3 doubles team of Amy Fugit and Lori Ahuja won 8-2.
In singles play:
#1 Tawni Griffey won 7-5, retired
#4 Camila Ramos won 6-2, 6-2.
#5 Amy Fugis won 0-6, 6-0, 10-6.
 
The Lady Hornets are now 4-1 to start the season. Both the men and women play at Southwest Baptist on Monday.
