Royals lose pitcher duel to Texas 1-0

Shin-Soo Choo single with one out in the ninth inning driving the games only run as Texas edged the Kansas City Royals 1-0 Saturday night.
The Royals managed 4 hits off of Cole Hamels and stranded 5 baserunners. Danny Duffy suffered the loss giving up the 1 run on 5 hits, 4 strikeouts and no walks. Royals Manager Ned Yost called it a good old fashion pitchers duel.
The Royals will try to end a 5 game losing skid Sunday afternoon when they face the Rangers in the final game of a 3 game series. Ian Kennedy will be the starting pitcher for the Royals. Yu Darvish will be the starting pitcher for Texas. First pitch is set for 1:15p. Coverage on KVOE 1400AM/96.9FM begins at 12:30p.
