Alex Smith guided the Kansas City Chiefs to a touchdown on the teams opening drive, a Spencer Ware touchdown run, and set the rest of the game in the Chiefs 27-17 loss to the San Francisco 49ers Friday night.
Head Coach Andy Reid was pleased with the number 1s.

Tyler Bray, the 2nd quarterback used by the Chiefs, failed to lead a scoring drive. Patrick Mahomes, the first-round draft pick, led the Kansas City Chiefs to a third-quarter touchdown. He connected with Marcus Kemp, putting the Chiefs in front 17-9.
San Francisco 49ers rallied scoring 18 unanswered points to close out the game. The Chiefs 2nd preseason game will be next Saturday at Cincinnati.
