Southwest Minnesota State out scores Emporia State

30 points from Brandon Hall was not enough to carry the Emporia State mens basketball to their first win. Southwest Minnesota State out scored the Hornets 70-66 Saturday night.
 
 
The game featured 12 lead changes and 8 ties. Emporia State biggest lead was by 4 points in the 2nd half. Coach Shaun Vandiver said there was improvement.
 
 
 
 
Hall was the only Hornet to score in double-figures. Southwest Minnesota State had 4 players score in doublefigures led by Carter Kirk with 20 points. Emporia State falls to 0-2 they will next host Kansas Wesleyan Thursday night.
