Emporia State women out score Missouri Western 60-40

The Emporia State womens basketball team led from beginning to end in a 60-40 win over Missouri Western Saturday.
 
 
The Lady Hornets led 20-11 after the first quarter. Western would out score Emporia State 14-9 in the second quarter to cut the lead to 29-25 at halftime. The Lady Hornets dominated the 2nd half out scoring Western 31-15. Coach Jory Collins said there were a lot of positives.
 
 
 
 
Jacee Kramer led Emporia State in scoring with 14 points. Marissa Preston added 12 points.
 
 
 
 
Morgan Laudan added 11 points. The Lady Hornets improve to 15-7 and 10-5 in the MIAA and are now in a 3 way tie for 4th place in the MIAA standings.
