Emporia State goalie Yadira Rivera has been named the MIAA goalie of the week. She extended her scoreless minutes streak to an Emporia State record 395:45 with three shutouts in five days last week. She capped the week saving 14 shots on goal in a double overtime tie with #14 Central Missouri on Sunday afternoon. It was the second shutout of the year of Central Missouri and the first time they have been shutout by an MIAA team in 11 matches. That followed a 1-0 shutout of Southwest Baptist on Friday night. She had seven saves against the Bearcats. It was the first loss in MIAA play for SBU this year and their first shutout by an MIAA team since last season. Rivera began the week with a 2-0 shutout of Newman on Wednesday in non-league action. For the week she turned away 26 shots on goal.
