Emporia State softball team wearing bull's-eye at MIAA tournament

The MIAA softball postseason tournament begins Thursday. Emporia State, the regular season champion, is the number 1 seed.

Emporia State Head Coach Julie LeMaire says they are ready to make a championship run.

The Lady Hornets open against Northeastern State in a 6pm game. At 8pm they will play either Central Missouri or Fort Hays State. Senior Tricia Vogel says they cannot over look anyone.

The other first round games have Central Missouri playing Fort Hays State. Central Oklahoma plays Lindenwood and Missouri Western faces Northwest Missouri State.
