Lyndon survives Olpe, weather

After waiting out a nearly 4 hour weather delay, the Lyndon Tigers outlasted the Olpe Eagles 27-25.

Olpe scored with 5:44 to play to pull within two, then orchestrated a final drive over the final 1:52, but missed the potential game-winning field goal with 6.8 seconds to play.

Lyndon quarterback Joe Walsh paced the Tiger's offense with 112 yards rushing and a touchdown on 8 carries, and went 15 of 26 passing for 251 yards and two touchdowns.  Walsh says Olpe gave them a good test but sees plenty of room for improvement.

Olpe quarterback Bo Krueger led the Eagle's offense going 12 of 23 passing for 232 yards and 2 touchdowns to Toby Smith.  Krueger added 168 yards rushing and a score on 22 carries.

Lyndon improves to 5-0.  Olpe falls to 2-3.
