Royals suffer tough luck loss to Tigers

Anibal Sanchez tossed seven innings of one-run ball as the Detroit Tigers held off the Kansas City Royals, 2-1 Friday night.

Eric Hosmer was 3-for-4 and Salvador Perez collected two hits and drove in the only run for Kansas City, losers in five of their last seven games. Danny Duffy allowed two runs, one earned, on five hits over six innings to absorb the tough-luck loss. Manager Ned Yost said they weren't able to develop luck.
