Kansas City Chiefs win preseason opener

The Kansas City Chiefs won their first preseason game out scoring the Cincinnati Bengals 41-39 Thursday night.

 

Coach Andy Reid called it a mixed bag.

De'Anthony Thomas had an 80-yard punt return for a touchdown. Sean Smith and Malcolm Bronson returned interceptions for touchdowns. Travis Kelce had a 69 yard touchdown pass reception and Cyrus Gray scored a rushing touchdown. The Chiefs did fumble twice and had an interception returned for a touchdown. Kansas City does not play again until next Sunday when they go to Carolina.
