Royals lose to Twins

The Minnesota Twins out scored the Kansas City Royals 4-1 Saturday.

The Royals had taken a 1-0 lead in the 4th inning thanks to a Minnesota throwing error. The Twins would score 3 runs in the 7th inning and added another run in the 8th to seal the win. Kurt Suzuki had two hits, including a home run, and scored twice for Minnesota. The Royals and Twins play again Sunday with Jeremy Guthrie making the start on the mound for the Royals. First pitch is set for 1:10 on KVOE-AM.

The Royals hold a half game lead over Detroit in the AL Central standings after the Tigers defeated Seattle 4-2.
