Chase County softball, back to State Featured

The defending 2-1A State Softball Champions, Chase County, will be returning to defend their state title. 

The Bulldogs defeated Moundridge 7-1 in the regional semi-finals and shutout Hillsboro 3-0 in the regional championship game Tuesday. Chase County has won 5 state titles in the last 6 years. The 2-1A State tournament will be played in Pratt next Thursday and Friday.
Lebo-Waverly defeated Lyndon 9-8 in 8 innings in the semi-finals at Wabaunsee. They will play Valley Falls Wednesday for a trip to State.
Northern Heights was defeated by Salina Sacred Heart 3-1 in the regional semi-finals in Salina.
In 3A play:
Osage City defeated Council Grove 13-4 at Council Grove. They will play Wellsville Wednesday in the Championship game.
