Emporia State defense takes step forward Featured

The Emporia State football team is coming off a win over Fort Hays State. In that game the defense forced 4 turnovers.

Junior safety Roscoe Gatewood III said it was a effort they needed.

This Saturday the Hornets play at Central Missouri. The Mules have the top scoring offense and are averaging over 500 yards per-game.
 
Jace McDown has been named the D2Football.com National Defensive Player of the Week for his efforts in the Hornets win over Ft. Hays State.
