The Kansas Jayhawks remain ranked number 2 in both the AP and USAToday Coaches mens basketball polls. Gonzaga is the top ranked team in both polls. Duke, Virginia and Michigan are the top 5 teams in both polls.

Texas Tech is ranked 13th in both polls. Kansas State slips to 15th in the Coaches poll and 16th in the AP poll after Saturdays loss to Marquette.

Kansas senior Lagerald Vick and redshirt junior Dedric Lawson came up big in the Jayhawks' overtime win against Stanford and have been rewarded for their efforts. Vick has been named the Big 12 Player of the Week, while Lawson is the Big 12 Newcomer of the Week.

In KU's 90-84 overtime win against Stanford Vick scored 19 of his 27 points in the final 7:30 of regulation and overtime.
Lawson tallied his third-straight and fourth double-double of the season with 24 points and 15 rebounds against the Cardinal.
Kansas hosts Wofford Tuesday night. Due to coverage of Emporia High basketball the game will not be broadcast on KVOE 1400AM/96.9FM.
