Royals power past Detroit 10-2 Featured

Hunter Dozier and Jorge Soler each hit 2 home runs to power the Kansas City Royals to a 10-2 win over the Detroit Tigers Sunday.

Whit Merrifield led off the game game with a home run. Hunter Dozier added a solo home run in the 1st inning and a solo home run in the 8th.

Jorge Soler hit a 2 run home run in the 3rd and a solo home run in the 8th. He has now hit 35 home runs this season. He is 3 shy of tying the record of 38 held by Mike Moustakes.
Jakob Junis was the winning pitcher going 6 innings giving up 2 runs on 6 hits with 6 strike outs.
The Royals are off Monday. They begin a 2 game series with St.Louis Tuesday night.
