Emporia State soccer to open MIAA play. 6 players earn All MIAA honors Featured

The Emporia State soccer team opens MIAA tournament play Friday afternoon. They will be hosting Northwest Missouri State.

Senior Tanna Benefiel says they to will need to play the same way they have all season.

Emporia State goalie Jillian Patton has had 4 shutouts this season and credits the defense.

Kick-off is set for 2pm on the ESU soccer pitch.
6 members of the Emporia State soccer team have earned 9 All-Conference honors.
Freshman MacKenzie Dimarco has been named the offensive player of the year, Freshman of the year and 1st team All-MIAA.
Dimarco has set 8 school records including goals scored with 18, game winning goals with 8.
She leads the MIAA in goals scored, game winning goals and goals per game.
She is 2nd in the nation in game winning goals, 6th total goals and 9th goals per game.
Senior Tanna Benefiel is also a 1st team All-MIAA selection.
Sophomore Sydney Martens is a 3rd team selection.
Receiving honorable mentions are Kailey Corr, Aislinn Hughes and Hannah Woolery.
