Madison picks up 59-6 win over West Elk in playoff action Thursday Featured

The Madison Bulldogs advanced to the second round of the eight-man Division I playoffs with a 59-6 win over West Elk Thursday evening.

Madison would score seven times in the first quarter giving them a 52-0 lead heading into the second. Madison would tack on one more score and give up just one touchdown in the second as they closed up the win and secured their place in the second round.

Junior Quarterback Casey Helm was perfect in passing with 93 passing yards and three touchdowns. He says their focus never waivered.

Head Coach Alex McMillian says explosiveness on both sides of the ball was the key to their team’s victory.


Madison ended the night with 232 yards of total offense and held West Elk to just 82 offensive yards.

Madison will now meet Oswego in second-round action next Friday.
