The Kansas Jayhawks can clinch the Big-12 mens basketball title outright with a win over West Virginia Tuesday. Kansas clinched at least a share of the title with Iowa State defeating Oklahoma Monday night. This is the 11th consecutive Big-12 title for the Jayhawks. It will also be senior night for Kansas. Christian Garrett is the lone senior on this years team. Tip-off in Lawrence is set for just after 8pm. The game will be broadcast on KVOE 1400 AM/96.9 FM.
Emporia State Junior Terrence Moore is a MIAA third team selection. He led the conference with 61 steals and was the 4th leading scorer averaging 16 points per game.
Six members of the Emporia State track and field teams have been named All Region by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.

Emporia Highs wrestling team finished in 6th place at the 5-A State championships. The Spartans came home with a 2nd place finish, two 4th place finishes and two 6th place finishes.
The season is over for the Emporia State mens basketball team. The Hornets need Fort Hays State to defeat Northeastern State Saturday to advance to the MIAA tournament. Northeastern State rallied for a 79-77 win over Fort Hays State to take the final spot in the MIAA tournament. The Emporia State women play their first MIAA tournament game Friday in Kansas City at 6pm against either Lincoln or Missouri Western.
